Ingredients
- 3 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips (go ahead and use dark if you feel like it)
- 2 cups cold heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Extra granulated sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Once combined, mix in the chocolate chips.
- Using a wooden spoon, stir the heavy cream into the flour mixture just until combined.
- Turn the mixture out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 3 minutes until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the dough into two equal balls and gently press each ball into an 8-inch circle.
- Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut each circle into 8 triangles as you would cut a pizza.
- Gently lift each triangle and place about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
- Brush each triangle with melted butter and sprinkle lightly with sugar.
- Bake for 20–24 minutes or until the triangles just start to brown.
